From the Farmer
I hope you are all enjoying the CSA experience and all the wonderful produce that has come your way this season. This has been the best growing season I have seen in the 32 years I’ve been at it. Our produce is looking lovely each week, and we have had a bounty that is healthy and happy. We only have 6 more weeks of the Main Share but winter share will be starting shortly there-after on November 4. If you haven’t signed up please do so as soon as possible.
We don’t ask to much of our CSA members but, if you could take a minute and write a review about your experience in the CSA it would be greatly appreciate. Here’s the link for Facebook. If you want to review us on Google or Yelp, that would also be great.
Fall is a busy time for us not only in the fields but also with what we call agri-entertainment. Here are a few events that you might want to participate over the next few weeks.
Little Jeb and the Phat Daddies
September 23 at 5:00 PM.
Great music and great fun for the whole family.
“Fun on the Farm”
Every weekend and Columbus Day from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
We have hay rides, pumpkin picking, pumpkin decorating and a chance to go into our famous hay maze. The cost is $8.00 per person and includes a pumpkin.
Now through early October.
Peck bags are $28 and 1/2 bushels are $38.
Stop by anytime we are open!
If you haven’t already you need to try our lunches. The menu changes regularly as the harvest changes. Lunch is available from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You can eat here or take-it-away. Some of our favorites right now Apple Cheddar Salad, BLT’s, Pilgrim Flatbread and Harvest Flatbread.
Come and enjoy all we have to offer and don’t for to take just a little time to write a review for the CSA.
