From the Farmer
The harvest will go on even though the weather won’t be on our side for the next couple weeks. Who would have thought we would be experiencing this much rain this late in July? Fortunately for both of us, you all have CSA shares. There’s no wondering who’s coming to the farm and how much we need to pick for the day. We know exactly how much to pick. It’s weeks like this that remind us why we started a CSA in the first place…
Three years ago now the farm crew planted a small orchard of peaches and this week they began to harvest them. They might be a little small (we need to do a little more thinning) but they are delicious. Sweet and juicy only begins to describe them. If you need to gorge yourself on something, I would vote for the peaches!
or the Sweet Corn
Now is your big chance to stock up on blueberries. Blueberries freeze really well and of course there is always pies and jams. We have flats (12pints/flat) available for $40. If you are interested please email us at the farm at firstname.lastname@example.org…
Enjoy the harvest,
